WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University rowing team saw its V8 place fifth and 2V8 finish sixth as the team placed fifth overall in the 2025 NEWMAC Championships on Saturday morning from Lake Quinsigamond.

Sophomore Danielle Chace and sophomore Lucy Powdermaker were named to the All-NEWMAC Second Team. Wellesley finished first overall in the AQ standings with 43 points and WPI placed second with 38 points. Smith (36), Coast Guard (33), and Clark (23) rounded out the top five. 

How it Happened

• Clark's V8 of Mira Mills, Anna Tinklenberg, Lucy Powdermaker, Katie Woods, Robbie Southall, Charlotte Leavitt, Danielle Chace, Brianna Bodner, and Anna Cavanagh placed fifth overall with a mark of 8:10.346, which was behind Smith, Coast Guard, WPI, and Wellesley and ahead of Mount Holyoke and Simmons.
• The Cougars 2V8 of Sowbernika Rajesh, Jordan Cambre, Leyna Rogers, Abigale Luetjen, Julia Bosco, Isabel Gustavsson, Anastazia Salazar, Victoria Weirich-Freiberg, and Lindsey Wilder finished sixth with a time of 8:40.949, which was just behind Mount Holyoke.

Clark will return to the water on Saturday when they compete in the New England Rowing Championships beginning at 8:00 a.m. from Lake Quinsigamond.
