WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University men's lacrosse team (1-13, 0-6 NEWMAC) hosted No. 5 Babson (13-2, 6-0 NEWMAC) in their senior day game and were bested 18-5 by the Beavers on Friday night from Granger Field.

How it Happened
- After Babson's Joey Allen scored the opening goal of the game, Michaud nearly tied it with a shot on goal that was saved by Andrew Almquist.
- Grainger fired a shot that went just wide of the goal and after two more Beaver goals, first-year Luca Palleschi registered his first save of the evening.
- After another Palleschi save, sophomore Maxwell Biondi and junior Tate Gorman each fired shots on goal that were stopped and after two Babson goals, Cuda nearly got Clark on the board with a shot that was saved by Almquist.
- Michaud closed the first with a shot that was stopped and to open the second quarter Clark applied more pressure as Newman fired a shot that was saved.
- Babson scored two goals in the middle of the second despite a pair of saves from Palleschi before Biondi scored off a feed from sophomore Michael Berman Annunziata to make it a 10-1 contest.
- Michaud scored Clark's second goal of the contest less than two minutes later, with another helper going to Berman Annunziata to pull within eight.
- Babson registered two more goals before the half and O'Rourke created a chance as the Beavers led 12-2.
- Grainger opened the third with a shot on goal before Michaud scored his second goal of the contest off a feed from junior Tate Gorman with 13:12 to go.
- Junior Eric Aswad, Newman, Michaud, and Biondi each created chances before the end of the third and Newman scored with 0:05 to go in the quarter as they trailed 17-4.
- In the fourth, Aswad scored off a feed from sophomore Jacob Kaufman and Palleschi tallied three saves as the Cougars fell 18-5.
Inside the Box Score
- Clark attempted 31 shots, won 16 faceoffs, converted 24 clears, scooped up 34 ground balls, and forced 22 turnovers.
- Michaud led the Cougars with two goals, which brings his season total to 15.
- Berman Annunziata tallied a team-high two assists, which were his 21st and 22nd helpers of the year.
- Newman, Aswad, and Biondi also scored for the Cougars, while Kaufman and Gorman each registered assists.
- Sophomore Thomas Sheehan and Cuda each caused a pair of turnovers.
- O'Rourke won a game-high 13 faceoffs and scooped up seven ground balls.
- Palleschi recorded 11 saves, which is his third straight game with double-digit saves.
