DUDLEY, Mass. – The Clark University men's tennis team (2-0) earned their second victory of the season with a 5-2 win over Nichols (0-1) on Wednesday afternoon from the Robinson Tennis Courts.

How it Happened
Doubles: Clark 2, Nichols 1

• In number one doubles, graduate student Edward Shepherd-Johnson and senior Aris Kirkorian battled with Pablo Carrascosa and Felipe Gonzalez and earned a 7-6 victory.
• Junior Ziad Tabbara and first-year Marciej Jaruga earned Clark the doubles point in number two action as they topped Rodolfo Hernandez and Arthur Martins 7-5.
• In number three doubles, First-year Matthias Birkenholz and first-year Edward Danziger won two games, but dropped the match 2-6 to Mason Harris and Jodha Singh.

Singles: Clark 4, Nichols 2

• Jaruga earned the Cougars first singles point in number four action over Hernandez with a 6-0, 6-4 victory.
• First-year Sebastian Elias registered Clark's second singles point with a 6-3, 6-4 win against Martins in number five action.
• Tabba clinched the victory for the Cougars with a convincing 6-1, 6-2 win over Singh in number three play.
• In number two singles, Shepherd-Johnson won the first set 6-4, fell 3-6 in the second, and took the third set 6-0 against Gonzalez.
• Kirkorian took the first set 6-4 in number one against Carrascosa, but fell 5-7 and 7-10 over the remaining sets.
• Birkenholz battled with Emmel in the first set before falling 6-7 and was bested 3-6 in the final set.

Clark will return to action on Friday, September 25 when they compete at the 2026 ITA Regionals beginning at 9:00 a.m.
