MIDDLEBURY, VT – The Clark University men's tennis team saw graduate student
Edward Shepherd-Johnson, senior
Aris Kirkorian, and junior
Ziad Tabbara all competed at the 2026 ITA Regionals on Friday afternoon from the Middlebury Courts.
Shepherd-Johnson won in both singles and doubles, with the doubles victory coming along side Kirkorian.
How it Happened
Doubles
- In doubles, Shepherd-Johnson and Kirkorian opened their day against Jaime Galligo and Landon Wyshner from Wheaton in the round of 64 and registered a convincing 8-2 victory.
- In the round of 32, Shepherd-Johnson and Kirkorian took on Rex Harrison and Alex Brzov of Amherst and won two games, but dropped the match 2-8.
Singles
- Shepherd-Johnson advanced to the Round of 32 with a convincing 6-4, 6-2 victory over Carter Ford (Coast Guard)
- In the Round of 32, Shepherd-Johnson took on Ryuto Saito (Wesleyan) and collected a pair of games won, but dropped the match 1-6, 1-6.
- Kirkorian battled with Sebastian Mendoza (Babson) for two sets and took four games in the first set before ultimately falling 4-6, 1-6.
- Tabbara took on Max Lidman (Babson) in the Round of 64 "B" Draw and was bested 1-8.
What's Next
The Cougars will return to action on Wednesday afternoon when they travel to Franklin Pierce for a contest beginning at 3:30 p.m.
