TROY, N.Y. – Clark University men's soccer (1-1-1) finished its trip to New York with a Sunday afternoon match against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) (1-0-1). Following a scoreless first half, senior Marc Kim put the Cougars in front before a late goal tied the game at 1-1, with the score remaining deadlocked at the final whistle.

How it Happened

  • First-year William Roderick had the first chance for Clark, with a well-driven shot from outside the box sailing over the goal.
  • After 20 minutes of back-and-forth play, Pedraza made his second save in the 25th minute to keep the game scoreless.
  • Following a high shot from first-year Julian Dubash, RPI had two shots, one of which rang the crossbar while the other was blocked before reaching the goal.

  • Rensselaer ramped up the pressure, earning a free kick on the edge of the box in the 81st minute. The ball was sent into the box, deflecting off a Cougar defender and into the goal to tie the game at 1-1.
