Leicester, Mass. - Clark University men's
tennis snapped a six-match losing streak with an impressive 9-0 win
over host Becker College on Tuesday afternoon.
The Cougars, who opened their season with two wins before their
midseason slide, returned to the win column behind five, straight
set victories in singles action.
Harris Rollinger (Lexington, Mass.) playing at No.
1 for the first time in his career, posted a 6-0, 6-2 win, while
Robert Schmidt (Douglaston, N.Y.) recorded a 6-0,
6-0 win at No. 6.
Marcus Abramson (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) also
had a straight set win at No. 5 collecting a 6-1, 6-3 victory.
Rollinger teamed with Aaron Chin (Hong Kong,
China) at No. 1 doubles to get an 8-4 win while Abramson and
Phillip Porter (Cortland Manor, N.Y.) posted an
8-0 win at No. 3.
Clark (3-6) is back in action on Wednesday when they host Anna
Maria for a 3:30 p.m. match on Corash Courts.
