Cougars Get Second Straight With 8-1 Win

Worcester, Mass. - Behind a potent doubles game and straight set wins in all six singles matches, Clark won its second straight match, knocking off Worcester area rival Anna Maria, 8-1 on Wednesday afternoon on Corash Tennis Courts.

Phillip Porter and Marcus Abramson won at No. 2 doubles, 8-0 and the tandem of Dan Paradee and Robert Schmidt scored an 8-1 win to offset the AMCATS' 9-8 victory at No. 1 doubles.

Schmidt (6-0, 6-2) at No. 5 and Abramson (6-0, 6-0) at No. 4 each had easy times as did Nathan Maltais (6-0, 6-2) at No. 3 and Paradee at No. 2 (6-0, 6-0). Aaron Chin had a lengthy battle with Mike Dandurand at No. 1 before pulling out the 6-4, 10-6 win.

Clark, now 4-6 on the season, returns to the courts on Saturday with a home contest against MIT.
