New London, Conn. - The Clark University men's
tennis team's 2010 season came to an end on Thursday with a 5-2
loss to the Coast Guard Academy on Thursday in the first round of
the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC)
men's tennis tournament.
The Cougars' season ends at 4-9 - the third straight season in
which they have won four games. Meanwhile, the No. 3 Bears improve
to 11-9 and will face second-seeded Wheaton on Saturday morning at
10:30 a.m.
The future remains bright for Clark, however, heading into the 2011
season as they only graduate four seniors and return 11 of their
top 15 players, including standout freshmen Diego
Angel (Lima, Peru) and Harris
Rollinger (Lexington, Mass.).
