Worcester, Mass. – Visiting Springfield College got a pair of three set victories in singles matches and took two of three in doubles en route to a 5-4 win over Clark University in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) men's tennis action on Thursday evening.

The Pride improve to 4-5 on the season, with a 1-3 ledger in league play, while the Cougars slip to 3-10 and 0-4 in NEWMAC action.

After Harris Rollinger and Dan Hall knocked off Ben Burnap and Doug Nickerson, 8-5 at No. 1 doubles, Springfield's Zach O'Leary and John Schrank took down Bram Smith and Spencer Brightman, 8-4 at No. 2.

The Pride combination of Eric Henne and Joe Giannelli then posted an 8-5 win over Aaron Chin and Nathan Maltais to send the visitors into singles play ahead 2-1.
