Springfield, Mass. – Fresh off of a strong showing at last week's James Earley Invitational, Clark University had another excellent performance taking eighth place at the Golden Bear Invitational hosted by Western New England University at Supernant Field on Saturday afternoon.
Erika Roth (Saco, Maine) once again paced the Cougar runners posting her second consecutive top ten performance and third overall with an eighth place showing, wrapping up the 5K course in 19:46.
Zoe Greenberg (Arlington, Mass.) was the next Clark member to cross the finish line posting a time of 20:53, good enough for 36 th place.
A trio of sophomores rounded out the Cougars' scoring for the day. First, Marlena Springstubb (Oceanside, N.Y.) completed the course in 51st place (21:24) and then Abby Grieco (Hardyston, N.J.) was right on her heels in 55th place (21:30).
Finally, Maya Grevatt (Charlotte, Vt.) was the fifth Clark runner to traverse the course, ending in a time of 21:50 – a 61st place display.
Clark will have next week off in preparation for the NEWMAC Championships which take place on Saturday, October 27 in Northampton.
