Cougars Impress At Earley Invitational

Westfield, Mass. – In women's field that featured 43 teams and more than 450 runners, Clark University had Erika Roth (Saco, Maine) finish in the top 50 to help lead the Cougars to a 23rd place finish at the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State at Stanley State Park on Saturday morning.

Roth completed the unusual 6K layout in 24:16, an average of 4:02 per kilometer, turning in a 47th place finish.

She was followed by Zoe Greenberg (Arlington, Mass.) in 110th place with a time of 25:44.

The Cougars next three runners, meanwhile, all came across the line in close proximity. Up first was Abby Grieco (Hardyston, N.J.) in a 166th, traversing the course in 26:40.

Then Kayla Reeves (Shirley, Mass.) and Maya Grevatt (Charlotte, Vt.) crossed the line right behind one another with times of 26:50.02 and 26:50.79.

Clark will be back in action on Saturday when they take part in the Western New England Invitational.
