Worcester, Mass. – Host Clark University continued its impressive run, rolling past Johnson & Wales in non-conference men's tennis action, 9-0, on Wednesday afternoon at Corash Tennis Courts.

With the win the Cougars improve to 12-2 overall and have now won three straight matches following their 5-3 loss to MIT last Wednesday. The Wildcats, meanwhile, slip to 5-4 and see their own three-game winning streak come to an end.

The doubles tandem of Dan Hall (Sutton, Mass.) and Phillip Porter (Cortland Manor, N.Y.) led a trio of Cougar victories with their 8-2 win at No. 3 over Todd Zimmerman (Whitehall, Pa.) and Drew Pontillo (Slingerlands, N.Y.).

Diego Angel (Lima, Peru) and Dan Paradee (Gardiner, Maine) teamed up for the first time this season at No. 1 doubles and posted an 8-0 win over James Adriano (Pawcatuck, Conn.) and Mars Wala (Woonsocket, R.I.).

Dan Stein (Newton, Mass.) and Spencer Brightman (Sudbury, Mass.) defeated Ian Huxel (Newburg, N.Y.) and Jacob Wanner (Lancaster, Pa.), 8-1, at No. 2.

In singles action, Angel knocked off Adriano (6-0, 6-0) at No. 1 and Stein took care of Wala (6-2, 6-3) at No. 2. Paradee posted a 6-2, 6-1 win over Huxel at No. 3 and Joel Simonson (Waterford, Conn.) went registered a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 over Jake McGuire (Great Mills, Md.).

The Cougars waste little time getting back into action. They host Worcester-area rival Anna Maria on Thursday at 4:00 p.m., while the Wildcats play host to Suffolk on Saturday.
