Regular Season Ends With 7-2 Loss At Brandeis

Waltham, Mass. – Brandeis University, the region's 11th ranked team, swept all three doubles matches en route to a convincing 7-2 win over Clark University in non-league men's tennis match on Monday afternoon.

The loss for the Cougars is their second straight after winning eight of nine matches and they now stand at 11-8 heading into the New England Women's And Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) tournament slated to begin on Saturday.

Steven Milo and Josh Jordan got things rolling for the Judges with an 8-6 win over Diego Angel (Lima, Peru) and Antoine Martin (Bryn Mawr, Pa.) at No. 1 and Danny Lubarsky teamed up with David Yovanoff to get by the Clark senior tandem of Harris Rollinger (Lexington, Mass.) and Dan Hall (Sutton, Mass.) by an 8-2 score at No. 2.

Mitch Krems and Jon Ostrowsky completed the doubles sweep for Brandeis with an 8-6 triumph over Josh Burger (Fairfield, Conn.) and Zack Goodstein (Columbus, Ohio).

Clark's only two victories came at No. 5 singles where Burger dumped Michael Secular 6-4, 6-4 and at No. 6 where Joel Simonson (Waterford, Conn.) blanked Jon Ostrowsky 6-0, 6-0.
