The Cougars jumped out to a 2-0 lead within the first 15 minutes of the game. Freshman Vinny Morra (Setauket, N.Y.) kicked things off when he tucked a pass from sophomore Kyle Russo (Westford, Mass.) into the left corner at 11:38. Less than two minutes later, freshman Jon Sigal (Rehoboth, Mass.) sent a corner kick to sophomore Akiba Davis (Portland, Maine) who headed the ball over the Becker netminder.
Clark added two more scores in the first half courtesy of a penalty kick marker by senior Kenneth Vera (Franklin Square, N.Y.) in the 23rd minute and Blais' first of the afternoon in the 40th minute.
Freshman Tim Rovnak (Portland, Maine) teamed with classmate Nate Biedak (Taunton, Mass.) just 43 ticks into the second half before Blais planted the ball in the lower right corner of the net at the 71:21 mark.
Clark finished with an eye-popping 25-1 shot differential and took all nine corner kicks in the game. Becker junior Alexander Shtarr (Brooklyn, N.Y.) received credit for the only Hawk shot. His attempt caromed off the post early on in the match.
Sophomore Robert Bischof (Tarrytown, N.Y.) and rookie Alistair Richardson (Tolland, Conn.) each went untested in their respective 45-minute shift between the pipes for the Cougars. Senior Tim MacDonald (Holden, Mass.) stopped eight shots in the setback.
