North Dartmouth, Mass. – In field that featured nearly 300 runners from all three levels of the NCAA Divisional structure, the Clark University women's cross country squad stood tall finishing 26th overall at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Freshman Kristen Glennie (Standish, Maine) continues to impress in her first collegiate season, completing the 5K layout in 19:03, blazing her way to the third fastest time in school history, good for 29th overall.
She was followed by Saraneh Fitzgerald (Norfolk, Mass.), who ran a smart race and posted a time of 20:55, while Alex Jeannotte (Agawam, Mass.) was the third Cougar to cross the finish line, posting a personal best time of 21:44.
Erin Glennie (Standish, Maine) and Kelsey Herod (Lancaster, N.Y.) finished up the scoring for the Scarlet and White while Glennie setting her own personal best with a time of 22:17 and Herod on her heels at 22:49.
Clark will return to the trails on Saturday with the annual Worcester City Championship at Moore State Park in Paxton.
