NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Clark University women's cross country team competed at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday morning, facing a field of 34 teams. Ten Cougars ran in the 6K race, with four posting personal-best times.

Junior Nicole Steele was the top finisher for Clark, crossing the line in 24:54.9, followed closely by senior Siobhan Connolly, who also broke the 25-minute mark with a time of 24:57.0.

Junior Mary Elena Morales (26:17.4) and senior Abigail Gahagan (26:30.2) were the next two finishers for the Cougars.

Senior Emmy Udry set a personal best with a time of 27:56.3, while junior Fatima Soussi crossed a minute later in 28:52.7.

First-year Eleanor Klauder cut two and a half minutes off her previous best, finishing in 30:00.4, sophomore Antonia Schneider improved her personal record by over twenty seconds to 30:08.7, and junior Lily Vincent also set a personal best at 30:58.6.

Graduate runner Rosa Newshore rounded out the field for Clark, finishing in 40:22.6 in her first recorded meet.

The Scarlet and White now turn their attention to the NEWMAC Championships on November 1, with races beginning at 11:00 AM in Attleboro, Massachusetts.
