Cougars Drop Florida Finale, 7-2

Orlando, Fla. – Clark University wrapped up its stay in central Florida with a 7-2 defeat at the hands of Colorado College on Friday afternoon at the Fort Gatlin Tennis Center.

With the loss the Scarlet and White return north with an overall record of 3-8 in advance of a stretch where they will play four of their next five matches at home.

In today's meeting with the Tigers, the Cougars fell behind 3-0 after doubles and were never able to make up the difference.

Clark picked up both of its wins in singles action where Jacob Malicky (South Ergemont, Mass.) rallied for a 2-6, 6-1, 10-5 win at No. 5 singles over Jack Berham, while Teodor Nicola-Antoniu (Bucharest, Romania) did the same at No. 3, where he posted a 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 victory over Taylor Delehanty.

The Cougars will return to action when they visit Rhode Island College on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
