Orlando, Fla. – The Clark University men's tennis team opened up the spring portion of their 2017 schedule with an 8-1 loss to Oglethorpe University on Monday morning at Oak Street Park Community Center.
The Cougars' lone victory came at No. 1 singles where Barun Gill (Union City, Calif.) bested Richard Johnson in straight sets.
Gill was also part of the No. 1 doubles team with Jack Han (Bakersfield, Calif.) that nearly knocked off the Oglethorpe duo of Johnson and Michael Allen, 9-8 (7-1).
