The Lead: The Clark University men's soccer team played 110 minutes to a final 3-3 draw from the Lyons of Wheaton College on the road on Saturday afternoon. Sean Munroe (Silver Spring, Md.) led the Clark offense with two goals on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-The first half of the contest looked bleak for the Lyons, as Clark enjoyed a 3-0 lead entering the half.

-Trevor Sheridan (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) assisted Munroe twice for a 2-0 lead by the 18th minute, before Julian Feshbach-Meriney (Concord, Mass.) collected another Sheridan ball and buried it into the far left corner of the net.

-Wheaton came out of the gates hot to dominate the second period, though, outshooting the Cougars 14-5 and scoring three goals of their own to even the score.

-Jonny O'Meara headed in his first goal of the season to put the Lyons on the board thanks to a throw in from Sean Hurlburt.

-Hurlburt buried Wheaton's second goal of the day after a good looking cross to the center of the box from Jules Stewart.

-With less than six minutes in regulation, Amara Sesay was awarded a penalty kick and succeeded in finding the back of the net to bring the game into extra minutes.

-The pace of both overtime periods was fast, with Clark edging Wheaton in shots 5-4, but neither team could come up with a game-winner.
