-The Lead: The Clark University men's tennis team dropped a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) match to the Beavers of Babson College on Saturday afternoon at home.

HOW IT HAPPENED

-Clark's Jose Dalle-Valle (Miami, Fla.) and Andrey Samodaev (Boca Raton, Fla.) fell to Brandon Rosenbluth (Pound Ridge, N.Y.) and Chris Kolesnik (Staten Island, N.Y.) at #1 doubles, 8-3, as Babson jumped out to an early 1-0 lead. 

-Ben Roque (Coral Gables, Fla.) and Andre Libnic (Coral Gables, Fla.) took down Clark's Chris Ruebens (Cheshire, Conn.) and Jack Han (Bakersfield, Calif.), 8-2, at #2 doubles before Dylan Pace (Atheton, Calif.) and Dan Levitan (Winter Park, Fla.) clinched a doubles sweep with the 8-3 victory at #3 doubles over Lenny Siegel (Boca Raton, Fla.) and Jacob Malicky (South Egremont, Mass.).

-Dalla-Valle and  Ruebens fell to Babson's Libnic and Rosenbluth at #1 and #2 singles by set scores of 6-3.

-Jonathan Ben-Rey (Las Vegas, Nev.) earned a victory at #3 singles over Siegel when they went three sets. Siegel took set one 6-3 before Ben-Rey took set two and three 6-2 and 10-6.

-The Beavers took the final victories at #4, #5, and #6 singles to earn the 9-0 sweep over the Cougars.

-Clark hosts Becker College on Monday, April 16th in non-conference action at 4:00 p.m.

-Babson hosts Colby College on Sunday, April 15th at noon.
