The Cougars pulled out a nail biter today down at Corash Tennis Courts, defeating UMass-Boston by a score of 5-4. This win gives Clark two in a row going into the NEWMAC playoffs. Clark ends the regular season with a record of 10-11.

-Nicholas Mathieu (Topsham, ME) and his teammate Jack Han (Bakersfield, CA) were blanked in their No. 1 match, 8-0.

-Clark's Han fell in his No. 2 match-up despite a three set battle. Han's lone set victory was the first set, 6-4.

-In another three set match, Hattenbach was on the right side of this one for Clark. After losing the first set 6-3, Alex stood his ground and won the next two sets. Those sets finished 7-5 and 6-3.

-Malicky claimed a big point for Clark in his straight set victory in the No. 4 match.

-Today's game deciding match was the No. 5 match-up between Alex Nazaire (Elliot City, MD) and UMB's Raymond Platteel. Nazaire lost in the first set, 6-2. In the second set, Nazaire saved five match points in the second tie break to come back and win the set. After the tremendous comeback, Nazaire (also a Men's Basketball player) rode the momentum to a 6-2 finish of the third set.

-No. 6 singles went to UMass-Boston. Josh Podolsky (Sudbury, MA) competed in the two set match for Clark.
