In today's playoff match-up of No. 4 seed Wheaton and No. 5 seed Clark, Wheaton swept the match 5-0. An early lead coming from the doubles matches created momentum for the Lyons to finish the match with their singles. Wheaton took the No. 4 and No. 5 singles to claim the commanding 5-0 lead, resulting in the end of the match. Clark ends the year with a record of 10-12. Their hopes of a late season push fell short, but there were a lot of positives this year for the Cougars. One of the major positives being their 8-1 record at home. 

Doubles:

-Nicholas Mathieu (Topsham, ME) and his partner Christian Ruebens (Chesire, CT) competed well in their No. 1 match. They lost to their opponents in a close one, 8-7. 

-In the No. 2 match-up, Andrey Samodaev (Boca Raton, FL) and Jack Han (Bakersfield, CA) fell 8-5 to Wheaton's duo. 

-Defeated in the No. 3 match was Clark pair Jacob Malicky (South Egremont, MA) and Max Schweitzer (West Hartford, CT). The final score of that match-up was 8-3. 

Singles:

-The first singles match to finish was the No. 5 match-up. Wheaton's Ryser won the match 6-3 and 6-1 against Clark's Samodaev. 

-Winning the No. 4 match to claim victory for the home team was Wheaton's Strempel. Han fell in the two set match, 6-1 and 6-1. 

-Wheaton was ahead in the rest of the matches that were haulted once the No. 4 was finalized, ending Clark's season this afternoon. Mathieu, Ruebens, and Schweitzer played in the No. 1, 2, and 3 singles matches respectively. Competed in the No. 6 match for Clark was Alex Hattenbach (Wilton, CT).
