Coach Sharma's Thoughts
"After a week off of racing and Fall break falling in between our races, it was a challenging course to run for our athletes. However, it was a good reminder and lesson for them for the conference and regionals meet coming up with the Men's feeling out the course before regionals and the Women's able to experience their first 6K before the last meets which are 6Ks. We emphasized this race as a good practice for regionals as the regionals meet is at the same course."
"Many of our athletes were a bit disappointed in their times, but we as coaches are looking forward to their races in the future after they taper and are taking this race with a grain of salt. On a more positive note, we had a big turnout and amazing support from XC alumni, family members, and friends. The team and us coaches want to thank each and every single person for their support today."
Coach Ryan's Thoughts
"This meet at Franklin Park was our first meet back after a weekend off. Our athletes persevered through a tough course with some very competitive D3 teams, as well as a couple of Ivies and other D1 schools. This was the last week of intensive training before we begin to taper, wherein the workouts will be less expansive and will focus more on speed and intensity. We'll be returning to Franklin Park on November 13th for the D3 Regional meet and expect we'll see good performances from everyone after a race at the same location under their belts."
