Coach Smith's Thoughts
"We moved the ball well today and created a lot of great chances," said Smith following the win. "I would have preferred that we put one away early, but I was obviously thrilled when Bella finally capitalized. We look forward to getting back to work and preparing for Tufts next week."
How it Happened
- Clark's offense came out aggressive early as junior Jamie Stern and first-year Isabella Ramirez put shots on goal that were saved by Stella Schofield within the first seven minutes of the match.
- The scarlet and white continued to control play throughout the first half as sophomore Emily Rooney and junior Emma Tziachris fired shots on goal in the 22nd and 26th minute.

- Stern and junior Siobhan Lounsbury opened the second half much like the first with two more shots attempts on target that were saved.
- Ramirez found a ball just outside the box in the 58th minute and had a look at goal, but sent the ball just high of the net,
- Another pair of dangerous chances for the scarlet and white came in the 70th minute when Salazar fired a shot on goal that was saved and Stern collected the rebound, but was also denied.
- The Colonels then recorded a shot on goal in the 70th minute and one in the 76th minute that Small came up with saves on while Lounsbury also put a shot on goal in that timeframe.
- After Small recorded another save, the Cougars offense broke the tie with a nice goal from Ramirez sprung by a nice pass from Lounsbury to give Clark a 1-0 lead in the 85th minute and the rest of the way as the Cougars recorded a 1-0 victory,
