WORCESTER, Mass. - Clark men's soccer (5-4-1, 0-1-1 NEWMAC) played its second game within 24 hours and fell 3-0 in a non-conference match against Wesleyan (4-2-1) on Sunday afternoon from Granger Field.  

How it Happened

• First-year William Lopez opened the match with a shot on target in the seventh minute that was saved by Liam Devanny.
• Junior goalie Caleb Rosenthal-Vincenti recorded his first two saves of the match to keep the score tied early on shot attempts in the ninth and 12th minute, but Wesleyan got on the board in the 14th minute on a goal from Christopher Textor.
• After Rosenthal-Vincenti registered two more saves, first-year Tyler Manley put a shot on goal that was saved and sophomore Teddy Donahue put the Cougars best shot attempt of the half on goal with a header that was stopped.
• Wesleyan extended the lead to 2-0 late in the first half with a goal from Nick Wallick as Clark trailed 2-0 at the half.
• After another Rosenthal-Vincenti save in the 54th minute, graduate student Patrick Clark had a shot hit the post off a pass from senior Alex Maiorano and the Cardinals extended the lead in the 58th minute.
• Lopez fired the Cougars final shot attempt on goal in the game in the 84th minute with a shot on goal.
