- Graduate student Daniel Moura nearly gave Clark an early edge with a shot that went wide of the goal in the eighth minute as the team's traded possession.
- First-year Diego Marin recorded his first save of the match in the 13th minute off a shot from Ryan Goss.
- Marin registered his second save of the contest in the 23rd minute on a shot off the boot of Eamon Keenan which went as the last shot on target of the half as both defenses controlled play in a 0-0 game.
- Marin recorded a pair of saves early in the second half to keep the game tied, but Ben Williams gave the Beavers a 1-0 lead in the 59th minute.
- Junior Teddy Donahue put a shot on target in the 70th minute that nearly tied the game, but Walker White registered a save on the play.
- Marin then recorded three more saves before the Beavers extended their lead to 2-0 in the 79th minute as Babson recorded a 2-0 win.
