Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. - Clark men's soccer (2-11-1) closed out non-conference play with a match Wednesday afternoon against Tufts (5-2-4) and fell 6-0 to the Jumbos from Granger Field.
How it Happened
- Sophomore Colin Ruiz fired the first shot on goal of the match with a shot from the left side of the pitch in the 14th minute that was saved by Erik Lauta
- Junior Andrew DiStefano recorded a pair of saves in the 17th minute and one in the 19th minute before Zach Seigelstein got the Jumbos on the board off a corner in the 20th minute.
- Tufts extended their lead to 2-0 in the 27th minute off a shot from Mikey Brady and Mateo Bargagna nearly pushed the lead to three goals with a header, but DiStefano made a save on the play.
- The Jumbos pushed the lead to 3-0 before the half with a goal from Ben Verner and DiStefano recorded two saves early in the second half to keep the same score.
- Tufts added three more goals in the second half and DiStefano logged two more saves as the Jumbos came away with a 6-0 win.
