Men's Soccer Falls to Wheaton in Season Finale

WORCESTER, Mass. - Clark men's soccer (2-14-1, 0-7-0 NEWMAC) played their final match of the season on Saturday afternoon against Wheaton (8-4-6, 2-2-3 NEWMAC) and fell 6-0 from Granger Field.

How it Happened

  • First-year Diego Marin got the start in net and made a pair of early saves, but the Lyons scored two goals within the first nine minutes of play as Ethan Alfano and Alasdair Ferrier found the back of the net.
  • Marin recorded two more saves in the first half in a match the Lyons now led 5-0 on goals from Jack Brusso, Leao Nelson, and John DiDario.
  • Junior Andrew DiStefano came into the game in net for Clark in the second half and registered four saves in the half as the Cougars only conceded one goal and got shot attempts from junior Teddy Donahue and sophomore Tyler Manley in the second half.
