Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University men's lacrosse team (0-2) played its second game of the season and fell to RPI (2-0) by a 20-4 margin on Wednesday night from Granger Field.
How it Happened
- Senior Noah Skole and junior John D'Eufemia applied early pressure on the RPI defense with shots that were saved and Skole had another shot saved with 8:12 to go in the first as RPI led 3-0.
- Sophomore Colin Howard hit the post on a shot with 6:44 remaining and senior netminder Ryan Mickelson made a nice save with 2:21 left in the first in what was now a 6-0 contest.
- Senior Benjamin Hollerbach scored Clark's first goal of the night with 1:06 to go in the first quarter and first-year Mason Kaufmann found the back of the net with 0:22 remaining in the first as Clark trailed 7-2 after one quarter of play.
- Mickelson recorded four saves early in the second quarter and Hollerbach scored a man-up goal off a pass from junior Declan Fitzpatrick with 3:55 left in the second in what was a 10-3 game and RPI took a 11-3 lead into the half.
- Senior Mark Zito put a shot on goal after winning a faceoff that was saved and junior Dylan Harloff recorded two saves in the third quarter before Skole netted the final goal in the night in the fourth quarter off a pass from Fitzpatrick as Clark fell to RPI.
