MANSFIELD, Conn. – The Clark University men's lacrosse team (2-6) recorded a convincing 13-1 non-conference victory over Eastern Connecticut (3-5) on Wednesday night from Rick McCarthy Field.

How it Happened

• Junior Declan Fitzpatrick gave Clark a 1-0 lead with 12:45 to go in the first quarter with a goal off a pass from senior Benjamin Hollerbach.
• Junior Dylan Harloff recorded four saves over the next eight minutes before first-year Matt Wells extended the lead to 2-0 with 4:13 remaining in the first off a pass from Hollerbach.
• Sophomore Attillio LaVecchia netted a goal at the end of the first to give Clark a 3-0 advantage.
• The Cougars got an early pair of goals in the second quarter as junior John D'Eufemia and senior Steve Caione found the back of the net to take a 5-0 lead.
• Harloff registered two more saves before Fitzpatrick netted a man-up goal as Clark took a 6-0 lead at the half.
• Sophomore Colin Howard and D'Eufemia added to the lead with a pair of goals to go up 8-0 with 8:10 to go in the third.
• LaVecchia added his second goal of the game with 3:32 remaining in the third and sophomore Matthew Minkwitz found the back of the net on a goal from Wells as Clark led 10-1.
• Wells, Howard, and sophomore Patrick Liddy each scored in the fourth as Clark went on to win 13-1.
