Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University women's lacrosse team (2-6) dropped a non-conference game to Keene State (2-6) by a 18-8 margin on Wednesday night from Granger Field.
How it Happened
- After Keene State took an early one goal lead, first-year Aubrey Conners found the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1.
- Sophomore Angela Borelli netted a man-up goal and another goal with 9:58 to go in the first as Clark took a 3-2 advantage.
- Junior Maddie Conners recorded a save to keep Clark in the lead, but Keene State scored the games next two goals before Borelli netted a man-up goal off a free position attempt to tie the game at 4-4.
- Sophomore Greer McCarty found the back of the net with 10:14 to go in the second quarter off a pass from first-year Erin Lucas as Clark trailed 6-5.
- Conners registered two more saves in the quarter as Keene State led 9-5 at the half.
- Lucas got Clark back within three with a goal early in the third at 9-6, but the Owls scored the contests next four goals.
- Borelli scored the final two of the game for the Cougars as they fell to the Owls.
