WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University men's lacrosse team (3-8, 1-3 NEWMAC) played its third game of a three game homestand on Saturday night at Granger Field and fell to Coast Guard (7-4, 3-0 NEWMAC) 13-6.

How it Happened

• Junior Dylan Harloff made a pair of saves early in the game and seven in the first quarter and junior Declan Fitzpatrick and sophomore Attilio LaVecchia fired shots on goal as the Bears held a 5-0 lead after one quarter of play.
• Harloff registered two saves on the man-down to open the second quarter and senior Steve Caione got Clark on the board with a goal off a pass from sophomore Colin Howard with 10:15 to go in the second quarter.
• Sophomore Patrick Liddy scored the Cougars second goal of the night on a shot with 5:37 remaining in the second quarter to make it a 6-2 game and it was a 7-2 score at the half.
• Senior Benjamin Hollerbach made it a 7-3 game to open the third quarter and Caione netted a man-up goal off a pass from senior Tommy McCarthy with 9:24 left in the third.
• McCarthy pulled Clark back within three at 8-5 with a shot off a pass from first-year Matt Wells and that remained the score entering the fourth quarter.
• Caione added his third goal of the game with 0:25 left in the game off a feed from Wells as Coast Guard won 13-6.
