BIDDEFORD, Me. - Clark men's soccer (2-6, 0-1 NEWMAC) played its second game of the week with a road match against UNE (0-6-2) and came away with a 1-0 win on Wednesday night from Barbara J. Hazard Field.

How it Happened

• First-year Luke Sheldon and junior Teddy Donahue each fired shots on goal within the first 12 minutes of action that were saved.
• Sophomore Colin Ruiz nearly put Clark in the lead in the 14th minute, but Sean McCarthy again made the save in a tie game, and after the teams continued to gain an advantage, first-year Diego Marin recorded a save in the 37th minute.
• First-year Mauro Perez Colon put a shot on target right before the half, but again the shot was saved in a 0-0 game at the half.
• Sophomore Tyler Manley gave Clark a 1-0 advantage with a goal off a feed from Perez Colon in the 51st minute.
• Junior Anyolo Makatiani, sophomores Luke Thomas and Lucas Saia, and first-year Amechi Aduba each fired shots on goal in the second half and the Cougars defense didn't allow a shot on target in the second half as Clark came away with a 1-0 win.
