Women's Soccer Battles to 0-0 Draw Against No. 11 Williams

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark women's soccer team (6-2-2) battled with No. 11 Williams (7-0-2) for 90 minutes and came away with a 0-0 draw on Sunday afternoon from Granger Field.  

The defensive shutout was the team's seventh of the season.

How it Happened
  • Junior Andrea Mortimer took a Clark corner in the seventh minute and also serviced in a ball into the 20th minute that found the head of graduate student Emma Tziachris, but the shot went wide of the goal.
  • Junior Anabella White recorded a pair of saves within a two-minute stretch before the half of a scoreless first half.
  • White registered a stop on Mirabai Dyson's shot in the 49th minute and in the 58th minute, senior Grace Oelkers serviced in a corner that was cleared away.
  • Clark's defense held the Ephs without a shot on target over the next 40 minutes before Tori Huang put a shot on goal that was stopped by White as the Cougars came away with a 0-0 draw.
