WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark women's soccer team (8-4-4, 3-4-2 NEWMAC) hosted their senior day game on Saturday afternoon against Emerson (8-5-2, 6-1-2 NEWMAC) and were edged 2-0 by the Lions from Granger Field.

How it Happened
- Clark created a chance within the first minute of the match as graduate student Jamie Stern found fellow graduate student Siobhan Lounsbury up the pitch, but Lounsbury put the shot just wide of the target.
- The Lions gained a 1-0 edge in the sixth minute when Kaylin O'Meara found Gina Lukoskie up the sideline and Lukoskie found the back of the net.
- Junior Isabella Ramirez created another chance in the eighth minute, but had her shot stopped by Amara Schaub.
- Junior Anabella White recorded two critical saves in the middle of the first half and before the half, junior Andrea Mortimer fired a shot on goal that was saved as Emerson led 1-0.
- Emerson scored less than two minutes into the second half as Katie Wojcik found the back of the goal to take a 2-0 edge.
- After three more White saves, Clark created their best chance of the second half as Mortimer serviced in a corner kick that found the head of junior Ashlee Samuel, but the ball bounced off the crossbar as the Cougars fell 2-0.
