Volleyball Drops Matches Against Lasell and Simmons

BOSTON, Mass. – The Clark University volleyball team (13-10) traveled to Boston to take on Lasell (19-3) and Simmons on Saturday afternoon and fell to both teams from the Holmes Sports Center.

Lasell 3, Clark 1
  • Lasell took the first set 25-23, Clark won the second set 29-27, Lasell won the third set 25-18, and the Lasers took the final set 25-16.
  • The Cougars tallied 43 kills, three service aces, four blocks, 41 assists, and 57 digs.
  • Senior Victoria Pastor recorded a team-leading 10 kills.
  • Graduate student Cameron Gill and senior Camille Sterling recorded seven kills.
  • Junior Yvanna Torres dished out 22 assists and first-year Julia Dopazo added 10.
  • Sophomore Yumeng Liu led the team with 16 digs and Pastor registered 11.
Simmons 3, Clark 0
  • Simmons won the first set 25-19, the second set 25-22, and the third set 25-16.
  • Clark recorded 23 kills, four service aces, four blocks, 45 digs, and dished out 20 assists.
  • Pastor and first-year Harper Chinn led the squad with five kills each.
  • Graduate student Ava Spach recorded four kills.
  • Torres dished out 10 assists and Dopazo added five helpers.
  • Junior Emily Newman recorded 12 digs and first-year Defne Olcer tallied eight digs.
What's Next
The scarlet and white will be back in action on Tuesday with a home match against MIT beginning at 6:00 p.m.
