WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark women's soccer team (6-3-3, 1-3-1 NEWMAC) played to a 1-1 draw against WPI (6-5-2, 2-2-2 NEWMAC) on Friday night from H. Carr Field.
How it Happened
- Graduate student Jamie Stern put a shot on goal in the 14th minute that was saved by Lili Hellerman as the Cougars put the first shot on target of the match.
- Stern put another shot on target in the 22nd minute that was stopped and right before the half sophomore Cassidy Hubbard attempted a shot that went just high of the mark as the game was tied 0-0 at the break.
- Junior Anabella White recorded her first save of the match in the 51st minute on a shot from Mia Gilmore, but the Engineers took a 1-0 edge in the 60th minute.
- After another save from White, Stern recorded a goal to tie the match in the 76th minute with a shot to tie the match at 1-1.
- Stern nearly gave Clark the lead in the 83rd minute with a boot that was stopped by Hellerman and hit the crossbar off a free kick in the 88th minute as the scarlet and white played to a 1-1 draw.
