WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University volleyball team (17-12, 6-5 NEWMAC) clinched the No. 5 seed in the NEWMAC Tournament with a 3-1 win over Coast Guard (18-8, 7-4 NEWMAC) and also fell 3-2 to SUNY Brockport (15-13) on Saturday afternoon from the Kneller Gymnasium.

Clark 3, Coast Guard 1
- Clark fell 25-17 in the first set, won the second set 25-21, topped the Bears 25-22 in the third set, and clinched the final set 25-22.
- The scarlet and white recorded 52 kills, eight blocks, 48 assists, and 83 digs.
- Pastor led the squad with 17 kills and added 14 digs.
- Williams added nine kills and three blocks.
- Scherrer del Llano also registered nine kills.
- Junior Yvanna Torres dished out 23 assists and first-year Julia Dopazo added 18.
- Sophomore Yumeng Liu led the squad with 25 digs.
SUNY Brockport 3, Clark 2
- The Cougars fell 25-18 in the first set, took the second set 25-14, dropped the third set 25-20, won the fourth set 25-18, and were edged 15-8 in the deciding set.
- Clark recorded 47 kills, four service aces, six blocks, 44 assists, and 76 digs.
- Pastor led the team with 12 kills and added 17 digs.
- Graduate student Cameron Gill and Flurry each recorded nine kills.
- Williams registered a team-leading five blocks.
- Dopazo (24) and Torres (18) led the team in helpers.
- Liu tallied 30 digs.

The scarlet and white will play in the NEWMAC Quarterfinals on Tuesday night at No. 4 Coast Guard beginning at 7:00 p.m.
