WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark women's swimming and diving began their three-day event with day one of the Gompei Invitational on Friday.

How it Happened

• In the 50-yard freestyle preliminaries, Libby Davidson clocked a time of 25.63 to qualify for the final and recorded a mark of 25.52 in the 50-yard freestyle final.
• Abby Seguin also qualified in the 100-yard butterfly with a mark of 1:00.80 and placed second in the C final with a time of 1:00.16.
• Sarah Kersting-Mumm (26.89), Wynne Collins (26.94), Samantha Slater (27.52), Brandy Mercardo (29.42), and Hannah Ross (32.23) all competed in the 50-yard freestyle preliminaries.
• Amelia Kulzer (2:29.26) swam in the 200-yard IM preliminaries.
• In the 500-yard freestyle preliminaries, Sydney Kochensparger (5:40.45), Kenzie Landsittel (5:44.02), and Collins (6:13.08).
• Ivy Joyal (1:04.93) and Carolynn Steffens (1:13.18) swam in the 100-butterfly preliminaries.
• In the 200-yard mixed medley relay, Clark recorded a time of 1:51.61.
• In the 200-yard medley relay, Kersting-Mumm, Landisttel, Seguin, and Davidson clocked a mark of 1:57.56.
• Kochensparger, Kersting-Mumm, Landsittel, and Seguin recorded a time of 8:35.01 in the 800-yard freestyle relay.

The Cougars will return to the water tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. for day two of the Gompei Invitational.
