MANCHESTER, Mass. – The Clark men's tennis team (1-3) opened their spring season with a road match and came away with a 5-4 win to Gordon (5-3) on Saturday afternoon from the Manchester Athletic Club.

How it Happened

• Senior Dariy Vykhodtsev recorded Clark's number one singles win in the match with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Bodner.

• Vykhodtsev and first-year Graham Russo battled with Noel and Riester of Gordon in number one doubles to win 8-6.

• Junior Tanner Honnef defeated Gordon's Noel with a 7-5, 6-4 victory at number two singles.

• Russo took his victory at three singles with a pair of 6-4, 6-4 wins over Riester.

• Sophomore Ryan Hovey came away with a 6-3, 6-3 victory in number four singles.

• In number three doubles, junior Tanner Honnef and Hovey dropped a competitive match 8-6 to Bodner and Barnes.

• Senior Matt Lee and first-year Sai Chanda were defeated in a 8-3 set at three doubles to Marineau and Wellborn. 

• Lee (No. 5) and Chanda (No. 6) fell in straight sets in singles play.
