WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark men's tennis team (4-9) closed out the regular season with a home match against Colby-Sawyer (7-10) and dropped the back-and-forth match 6-3.

How it Happened

• Senior Dariy Vykhodtsev and first-year Graham Russo came away with their second straight 8-7 victory in number one doubles as they took down Homonnay and Jenson.
• Graduate student Max Schweitzer and first-year Sai Chanda came away with an 8-6 win in number three doubles to give Clark a 2-0 lead.
• Junior Tanner Honnef and sophomore Ryan Hovey battled in number two doubles, but were edged 8-7 and 7-6 in the tiebreak.
• Russo also registered a win in number two singles as he came away with a 7-5, 6-0 victory to give Clark a 3-2 lead in the match.
• In number six singles, senior Joshua Ofosu-Amoani won the first set 7-6, dropped the second 6-0, and in the third brought it to a tiebreak, but fell 7-6 (7-4).
• Sophomore Aidan Hurtado fell 6-4 in the first set and took the second set to a tiebreak before falling 7-6 (7-2).
• In number three singles, Hovey took the first set to a tiebreak, but was edged 7-6 (11-9) and 6-2 in the second set.
• Honnef (No. 1) and Schweitzer (No. 3) each dropped their matches 6-3, 6-3.

What's Next

The Cougars will await the result of Saturday's Springfield and Coast Guard's match to determine where Clark will travel to for the NEWMAC Quarterfinals.
