WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark men's tennis team (3-8, 1-3 NEWMAC) hosted their senior day game on Saturday afternoon against MIT (10-9, 4-0 NEWMAC) and battled the Engineers before falling 9-0 from the Corash Tennis Courts.
Prior to the match, seniors Dariy Vykhodtsev, Joshua Ofosu-Amoani, and Matt Lee as well as graduate student Max Schweitzer were recognized for their contributions to Clark men's tennis.
How it Happened
- Vykhodtsev and first-year Graham Russo teamed up to play in number one doubles and won four games, but were edged by Nelms and Shen.
- In number two doubles, sophomore Ryan Hovey and junior Tanner Honnef battled with Li and Chaklarder before falling 8-3.
- Ofosu-Amoani and Lee rounded out doubles with an 8-1 loss in number three action against Kahler and Papacica.
- Lee won a combined five games across two sets in number five singles as he fell 6-3, 6-2.
- Vykhodtsev battled with Xiao for two sets, winning two games in the first and one in the third as he lost 6-2, 6-1.
- Honnef (No. 2), Russo (No. 3), and Hovey (No. 4) each won two games across two sets as they each fell 6-1, 6-1.
- Ofosu-Amoani competed in number six singles.

The Cougars will close out the regular season with a road match at Wheaton on Wednesday beginning at 4:00 p.m.
