WORCESTER, Mass. - Clark men's soccer (1-0-0) scored early and often to open the 2023 season with a convincing 5-0 win against Colby-Sawyer (0-1-0) on Friday afternoon from Granger Field.

How it Happened

• Junior William Lopez netted the Cougars first goal of the season in the 12th minute off passes from junior Lucas Saia and first-year Evan Thompson as Clark took a 1-0 lead.
• The scarlet and white then extended the edge to 2-0 in the 23rd minute as Saia found Lopez for the second time in the game and Lopez beat the goalie left.
• Lopez nearly extended the lead to 3-0 out of the half, but Bartolon Yener recorded his first save of the match.
• Senior Teddy Donahue netted his first goal of the year in the 71st minute as he scored off a feed from sophomore Ben Siegel.
• Donahue added another goal off a pass from Donahue in the 76th minute and Siegel scored his first goal of the evening off a feed from first-year Marc Kim as Clark came away with a 5-0 victory.
