Field Hockey Edged by Wesleyan on Tuesday

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark field hockey team (2-2) played their second consecutive home game and fell 5-0 to Wesleyan (3-0) on Tuesday night from Granger Field.
  • Down 2-0 in the second quarter, sophomore Jenna Beauchain took a pair of penalty corners for Clark and sophomore Elizabeth Cacciapaglia put a shot just wide of the net in the 22nd minute.
  • Sophomore Loren Root recorded a save just before the half as the scarlet and white's defense held the Cardinals to only two shots on goal in the second quarter of a 2-0 contest.
  • Sophomore Alexandra Cacciapaglia was subbed in at the half and recorded a save early in the third quarter and later in the third, sophomore Fionnuala Gormley and graduate student Abbe Cravinho each put shots on target that were saved.
  • Neither team scored in the fourth as Wesleyan recorded a 5-0 win.
