Men's Tennis Opens Season With 5-4 Win Over Roger Williams

Box Score BRISTOL, R.I. – The Clark men's tennis team (1-0) opened the 2023-24 campaign with a road match at Roger Williams (0-1) on Sunday and came away with a thrilling 5-4 win.

How it Happened
  • First-years Edward Shepherd-Johnson and Aris Krikorian played their first collegiate match together in number one doubles and came away with an 8-2 win.
  • Senior Tanner Honnef and sophomore Graham Russo recorded a thrilling 8-7 victory in number two doubles.
  • Junior Ryan Hovey and first-year Adham Seraj won two games in number three doubles, but fell 8-2.
  • Shepherd-Johnson also came away with a 6-2, 6-3 win in number one singles.
  • Honnef registered a 6-4, 6-3 victory in number three singles.
  • Russo clinched the match for Clark with a 7-6, 6-3 win in number four singles.
  • Krikorian (No. 2), Hovey (No. 5), and junior Aidan Hurtado (No. 6) each competed in singles action.
