Volleyball Records Split With Win Over Colby-Sawyer and Loss to Roger Williams

BRISTOL, RI – The Clark University volleyball team (2-1) recorded a two-game split on Saturday as they topped Colby-Sawyer (0-2) and fell to Roger Williams (2-1) from the Paolino Recreation Center.

  • Clark won the first set 25-14, the second set 25-16, and the third set 25-17.
  • The Cougars recorded 38 kills, dished out 36 assists, and registered 33 digs.
  • The scarlet and white also recorded 12 service aces.
  • Senior Camille Flurry led the way with nine kills and added a block.
  • Fellow senior Sheyenne Williams added eight kills and a block.
  • First-year Julia Dopazo dished out a team-leading 17 assists.
  • Junior Yvanna Torres added 12 helpers.
  • Graduate student Cameron Gill registered nine digs and two service aces.
  • 13 Cougars recorded at least one kill in the match.

  • The Cougars won the first set 25-21, fell 27-25 in the second set, dropped the third set 25-21, and were edged 25-23 in the final set.
  • Clark registered 49 kills, dished out 44 assists, and recorded 76 digs.
  • Pastor led the team with 13 kills.
  • Williams added 10 kills.
  • Junior Camille Sterling added nine kills and Flurry registered eight.
  • Dopazo led the squad with 21 helpers and Torres added 19 assists.
  • Gill recorded 20 digs and Liu registered 16.
What's Next
The Cougars will play their home opener on Tuesday night when they welcome Keene State to the Kneller for a match beginning at 7:00 p.m.
