Men's Soccer Drops Road Match at Brandeis

WALTHAM, Mass. - Clark men's soccer (2-4-3) traveled to Brandeis (2-4-2) for an early week match against the Judges and fell 1-0 on Tuesday night from Gordon Field.

How it Happened
  • Sophomore Diego Marin recorded the first save of the match in the sixth minute off a shot from Aidan Chuang and registered another save in the 17th minute off a boot from Rainer Osselman-Chai.
  • After a save by Marin in the 22nd minute in the bottom left of the goal, first-year Charles Lopez attempted a shot a minute later that just missed the mark.
  • The Judges netted a goal in the 29th minute with a shot from Elan Romo and less than a minute later, Marin recorded another save on a shot from Romo.
  • Before the half, first-year Luca Echeumuna and sophomore Ben Siegel each put shots on target that were stopped by Quintin Wrabley as Clark trailed 1-0.
  • Marin stopped a shot 11 minutes into the second half and the team recorded a save in the 62nd minute to keep the Cougars within one.
  • Sophomore Amechi Aduba nearly tied the match in the 69th minute with a shot to the bottom right of the goal that was stopped.
  • Clark's final chance of the match came in the 87th minute when Siegel took a shot that went just over the right crossbar as the Cougars fell 1-0.
