WORCESTER, Mass. - Clark men's soccer (4-7-4, 0-5-1 NEWMAC) traveled down Park Ave for a road match against WPI (9-3-4, 1-1-4 NEWMAC) and took an early 1-0 lead, but the Engineers rallied with two goals as the Cougars fell 2-1 on Wednesday night from Rooftop Field.

How it Happened

• Junior Diego Marin recorded three saves over the first 11 minutes of action to keep the match tied at 0-0 before senior Tyler Manley put the Cougars in front 1-0 in the 28th minute with a bicycle kick off a feed from fellow senior Colin Ruiz.
• The Engineers tied the match up just over a minute later when Aaron Vaz converted on a made penalty kick to the top left corner of the goal.
• Senior Zachary Kratz created Clark's final chance of the half with a shot that was stopped by Savio Ketnouvong in the 40th minute and Marin saved another shot before the break as the teams were tied 1-1.
• First-year Gediwon Williams nearly gave the Cougars the lead in the 49th minute with a shot that was saved, but WPI took the lead in the 50th minute when Fabio Bastida-Andreu found the back of the net.
• Junior Amechi Aduba and sophomore Charles Lopez created Clark's final two chances over the final 13 minutes of action, but Ketnouvong came away with a pair of saves as WPI won 2-1.
