Offense Erupts for Four Second Half Goals in 4-1 Victory Over Anna Maria

WORCESTER, Mass. - Clark men's soccer (5-7-4) hosted Anna Maria (9-5-2) in their final non-conference match of the year and scored four unanswered goals in the second half to come away with a 4-1 victory over the Amcats on Saturday afternoon from Granger Field.

How it Happened
  • Anna Maria jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the 18th minute when Brendan Hall found Kyle Brocker for a goal up the sideline before sophomore Jaime Pedraza stopped a shot later in the half.
  • First-year Gediwon Williams created Clark's best chance of the half in the 43rd minute that was saved by Romeu Szulc as the Amcats took a 1-0 edge into the break.
  • Senior Zachary Kratz crossed the ball into the box to fellow senior Tyler Manley and Manley headed the ball into the back of the goal as Clark tied the match at 1-1 in the 56th minute.
  • Pedraza stopped another shot in the 64th minute before junior Henry Kuerbis scored from the left side of the pitch off a feed from Kratz as the Cougars held a 2-1 advantage.
  • In the 71st minute, Manley netted his second goal of the match as Saia and Kuerbis each tallied assists on the play to put Clark up 3-1.
  • Sophomore Dwight Santiago extended the scarlet and white's lead to 4-1 off a feed from junior Mauro Perez Colon in the 73rd minute as the Cougars recorded a 4-1 victory.

  • Manley netted his fourth and fifth goals of the season and now has seven career goals.
