WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark women's basketball team (15-10, 5-6 NEWMAC) hosted Babson (13-12, 7-4 NEWMAC) for their senior day game and were edged 60-55 by the Beavers on Saturday afternoon from the Kneller Gymnasium.

No. 7 Clark will travel to No. 2 Smith in the NEWMAC Quarterfinals on Wednesday night beginning at 7:00 p.m.
How it Happened
- The Beavers jumped out to an early 8-6 lead despite four points from Schatzabel and a made layup from Faulise before a made triple by Faulise made it a 10-9 game in favor of the visitors with 5:54 left in the first.
- After a pair of made Babson triples, Clark ended the quarter on a 9-5 run sparked by three points from first-year Olivia Shipley, two from Schatzabel, two from first-year Emma Drefs, and two from first-year Kailey Rios as the Beavers led 21-18 after one period of play.
- Junior Megan Swedberg netted Clark's first points of the second quarter, but the Beavers held a 25-20 lead before the Cougars rattled off 11 unanswered points led by three from Schatzabel, first-year Catherine Antwi, and Rios as the scarlet and white led 31-25 with 2:27 left in the half.
- Faulise hit a pair of free throws and a made three-pointer from junior Kumi Tamura at the buzzer gave the Cougars a 36-32 lead heading into the half.
- Faulise and Schatzabel scored Clark's first four points of the third before Drefs connected on a three-pointer to push the lead to 43-36.
- After six straight Beaver points, Faulise ended the run with a made layup and hit a jumper before the end of the quarter to help give Clark a 49-47 lead heading into the fourth quarter of a back-and-forth contest.
- Babson's Camilla Silk and Faulise traded points early in the fourth as the Cougars led 51-49, but the Beavers netted seven unanswered points to take a 56-51 lead with 2:46 to play.
- Faulise hit a layup off a feed from Antwi to cut the deficit to three at 56-53 with 2:10 remaining, but the Beavers got a pair of defensive stops and led by as many as six before a Tamura jumper pulled the Cougars within four at 59-55 with 0:08 left, but the Beavers came away with a 60-55 win.

- Clark grabbed 40 rebounds, dished out 10 assists, registered eight steals, and forced 14 turnovers.
- Faulise led the team with 19 points and added eight rebounds.
- Schatzabel also reached double-figures with 11 points and recorded seven rebounds.
- Shipley registered a career-high five blocks.
